Welcome to the Piledriver Engine wiki page. This is not so much a page dedicated to the Piledriver engine, as it is dedicated to the object oriented environment known as C# and XNA.
When I first started learning to code in this flexible environment, most tutorials for XNA assumed you had a decent knowledge and understanding of C#, or at least of OOP (Object Oriented Programming). Most C# tutorials assumed you wanted to build databases and .Net applications. This was frustrating, as it seemed there were a whole lot of folks out there that wanted to jump in to game programming that had little or unrelated programming experience, and had no use for the non-game-related aspects of C#.
My aim for this site, in conjunction with the forum is to create a location for new game programmers to come and learn about the environment, and OOP in a gaming context.
Those of you coming to this site who know a thing or two about C# and XNA, if you are the type that enjoy helping others learn, I encourage you to join in on this project.
